Steffan is a London-based film director.
He creates character-driven films shaped by a sensitivity for conceptual and sensory aesthetics.
His 2023 cinematic profile documentary, Gary Stevenson – Life Out of Balance, is featured on Directors' Library.
Among other projects, Steffan is directing a multi-year feature film project about Japanese culture through the lens of skateboarding, Skate in Japan. The project received support from the Daiwa Foundation Grant scheme. Daiwa is an Anglo-Japanese foundation.
