Steffan is a London-based film director.
He creates character-driven films shaped by a sensitivity for conceptual and sensory aesthetics.
Among other projects, Steffan is directing a multi-year feature film project about Japanese culture through the lens of skateboarding, Skate in Japan. The project received support from the Daiwa Foundation Grant scheme. Steffan lived and worked in Japan for six years and is fluent in Japanese.
He is also a licensed UK drone pilot, available for aerial cinematography on productions where required.
His 2023 cinematic profile documentary, Gary Stevenson – Life Out of Balance, is featured on Directors' Library.
